Steeped in the jazz tradition of collective improvisation, this piano trio CD features Evans's unique compositions along with inspired covers of songs by Richard Rogers, Milton Nascimento and Thelonious Monk. The CD was recorded live-to-two-track to capture a pure accoustic sound with no overdubs or additional mixing. With Cecil McBee on bass and Matt Wilson on drums, Evans presents a creatively-swinging collaboration that engages the listener and shows it depth upon repeated playings.
